Sworn Portuguese translator appointed by the Higher Regional Court of Dresden

I obtained my certificate of appointment from the Higher Regional Court of Dresden, the competent authority for swearing in translators in Saxony. This means that my professional qualifications as a Portuguese translator as well as my personal reliability have been verified by the court authority and that I am therefore authorised to legally certify my translations for use in court proceedings and at public institutions within the State of Saxony.
Throughout the years, my certified translation services have been used by many private customers in and around Dresden, including in Klipphausen and Freiberg.
One special group of such customers are Brazilian scientists who came to Germany on a highly qualified visa programme and now work for research institutions in Saxony. Translations from Portuguese to German with my certification and signature are automatically valid throughout Saxony.
On the other hand, translations from German into Portuguese to be submitted to the Brazilian Embassy in Germany must additionally contain a Hague Apostille. In Saxony, you can obtain an Apostille for my Portuguese translations at the following regional courts:
- Landgericht Chemnitz
- Landgericht Dresden
- Landgericht Görlitz
- Landgericht Leipzig
- Landgericht Zwickau
Your Brazilian Portuguese expert also in Leipzig

I translate Brazilian documents also for customers located in the Leipzig/Halle area. This includes, of course, cities not only in Saxony (such as Schkeuditz) but also in Saxony-Anhalt (for instance, in Leuna).
It’s important to note that the Brazilian variant of the Portuguese language differs considerably from the one spoken in Portugal – especially when it comes to legal language. Therefore, to translate documents from Brazil or for use in Brazil you should look for a translator who specialises in Brazil’s language and culture and is aware of the hidden dangers of supposedly “easy” documents. If that’s what you need, I can help!
However, Brazil’s language variant is not the only important factor to consider when hiring a sworn Portuguese translator in Saxony; your translator should master the country’s legal system as well. After all, translators who are comfortable with the specialised terminology used by the legal system of the country from which the document comes from are, in principle, able to offer higher quality and detailed customer guidance.
